Congrats on the acceptance, not so good about the car but have your celebration tonight and sort the car tomorrow. So happy for you x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

my back springs had to be replaced a couple of weeks ago(astra) and the bill was £109 for two fitted.
if it were the front ones he said would have cost another £80 labour to do so they aint that expensive to put right.
what car you got?
by the way that was at mr clutch if you have one near you.
welcome to the land of iva or sods law as its better known[:D]
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

Hi Back on Track, Car gone into garage this morning so just waiting on the phone call.
I have a ford mondeo - 2003 model only had the car since last October as previous one died a slow death but we only got a 3 month warranty with it.
One of these things - its hardly surprising though with all the speed bumps on my road and pot holes around.
Its gone into a local garage which we have used before for MOT's etc so trust them :)
I hope it will just be around the £200 - £300 mark.
If it hadn't been for entering the IVA and putting a little aside I would not have had the money for the repair anyway

"If it hadn't been for entering the IVA and putting a little aside I would not have had the money for the repair anyway "

There you go -- a little bit of a silver lining already :0)

Although I am sure that you'd have preferred to hang onto the money a little longer, this is the "Law of Sod" in action, I am afriad.

Here's hoping for a smaller than expected bill.

Well Car Repair bill now in - its £379 so I guess ok in the grand scheme of things - It could have been a lot worse so its only £29 more than my IVA payment which I have saved on paying till 30th of this month so not too out of pocket!

Still a lot of money but at least you can manage to pay it. Hopefully you won't get another one.
