With the latest payment I am now a third of the way through the IVA [:D]

According to my sums, with extra payments and PPI (gross payments) I have paid in £22,300, against a total dividend of £26,640.

At this rate, by the end of year 2 I should be pretty close to dividend -- so after that my creditors will be smiling "all the way to the bank".

If I only make the current payments from now until the end my dividend will have gone up from around 33p to nearer 80%

Sorry to crow about it .... but I am pretty chuffed.

Well done Foggy,
I wish I had some PPI to claim I have the opposite worry of not reaching my minimum dividend required.
I remember thinking at 20 months 1/3 down etc, it is a milestone to be savoured
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

You are entitled to be chuffed. Pleased for you and by entering the IVA we do pay as much as possible to our creditors with good faith. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

That's great news Foggy and will also stand you in good stead if (and I sincerely hope it doesn't) your circs change and you can ask for an early finish like me!!

Well done for paying over and above the original feeling. If must feel good deep down to be making the best effort possible.

doesn't it fly by Foggy? I was only thinking this myself the other day that I only have 3 more payments and I will be a third of the way through, it doesn't seem that long since I was saying to my husband that we were 5% through!

Although, we are no where near paying in the amount you have so far!

Time does fly within an IVA I have to admit. I take it one month at a time and only 6 more payments for me so hoping they run smoothly. x

Thank you all for your kind words. Yes, time does fly by ... when you start out and try to look 5 years ahead it seems a lifetime .. but, by hopping from one small milestone to another, it soon goes by!

Well done Foggy, what a great effort on your part. I hope your IVA continues so smoothly.

I`m two years into my IVA and time certainly has flown by, and similarly to you I`ve paid more into my IVA than was anticipated and I`m not far off reaching the agreed dividend....Another six payments and I`ll be halfway there.
