So, here we are three years down the road and just awaiting the results of our annual review. For me this doesn't get any easier and I still hold my breath (so to speak) until we get the confirmation fo the review.
This year has been a tough one, don't know if it's because we haven't had a holiday for three years and everyone else seems to be going away every other week, or that whenever there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel something else breaks. (Car ready to go for service/MOT and I know it needs some work). Added to that both my husband and I have passed our landmark 50th birthdays without being able to have a proper celebration, and next month is our 25 Wedding Anniversary, and family expecting us to make some big grand gesture to mark it.
On a positive note though, we now know where every penny goes, we know the value of everything and get a great buzz when we have managed to bag a bargain.
God willing we will come through this and one day be able to have belated celebrations for all our big events, it's in our 'big picture!'
The halfway point of an IVA can be the worst part - and whilst you are a little bit past that way, you still have a couple of years in front of you, and it is understandable to become a little depressed when you feel your life is on hold and everyone else's is moving on.
Keep the faith in the knowledge that the next two years will probably go a lot quicker than the first three - in your thoughts at least, and that you really are on the downhill stretch now.
Hi dumbeh.
Well done on getting past your halfway point. Give it another month or so and your nearly at that two thirds point and then its all on the way to the end.
Best of luck
