This seems a little unfair to me

I too have dealt with one or two celebs in my time and they got a very hard ride from creditors, possibly influenced by their fame, I think

In addition, they have the added concern that if they don't abide by the terms of the IVA it will be all over the News of the World - it's not difficult to leak an annual report. Not something that most people in IVA's need cocern themselves with.

Moral of the story? Don't think that you'll get an easy ride in an IVA, just because you're famous!

me too, i wouldn't like it spread all over the press, imagine her creditors reading it and knowing what assets she has, too be honest its the news of the world, so is it true? it must put her at a disadvantage when going for an iva, and as mel said debt is debt regardless of who we are, at least she has admitted she has a problem, or has she!

an iva is there for all walks of life regardless of what we earn we have had a few posters on here who have earned mega bucks but have still needed help with their debt problem, maybe we will get a few celebrities posting lol

But surely if she downsized and sold some of her cars she'd be on the way to paying her debts?

Regarding her financial problems being all over the papers, I don't mean to sound harsh but I feel she has brought it on herself. She's happy to sell her stories to whatever magazines and papers will pay, so she can't complain about other things being in the papers.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

i agree totally skippy she needs to not live beyond her means and downsize, and get rid of all the cars which she will probably be told to do anyway, i agreed just coz she is a celebrity didn't mean that this should have stopped her being able to go for an iva.
