The police can't take a statement until tommorow, I have now fixed the leak so nothing more I can do until everything dries out (insurance company were no help as we didn't notify them we had moved, only thing I forgot to change over, so they can't say if we can claim until Monday). Wonder has spoken to the doctor and has been advised that there is nothing that can change anything and the scan tommorow will give us the answers. So we have decided what the heck and we will set out about 6ish or so and see if we can attend if only for a short time. David Mond has been a true gentleman again to both of us and we will do everything possible to get there this evening to show our appreciation for all the help that he has provided for us.
Just an update, Police took statement but don't think it will come to anything. I had a quote to repair the car which is £771 but my excess is £250 so that might have to wait a bit yet. Insurance company are still dragging there heels over the leak which is annoying as the house stinks of damp as its drying out. I have spoken to the hospital again today and they have brought the scan forward to Wednesday afternoon now but at least we will know for sure although in our minds their is no doubt, just wish I could do something more to ease the pain for Wonder but I am C**p at things like that, but I love her to bits anyway.

My apologies Paul, I've only just caught up with the damage and the leak as I was without internet access in Manchester - what sort of hotel can't provide that on the first floor!

Sorry to hear about the car and the tank, and I do hope you get them sorted soon.

I'm glad the scan has been brought forward - it must be awful not knowing. I had a miscarriage many years ago and know what you both must be going through. I do hope that when she has the scan that everything will be ok.

I've got everything crossed for you.

Paul, my heart goes out to you both - last year when I had to go back for a scan it was the most heartbreaking time. My hubby tried to be strong for me, but you men have feelings too. Just make sure you're there for each other and you'll cope with whatever Wednesday brings.

If I can be of any help, let me know xx

Sorry Julie, I hadn't realized that you had been suffering last year and us men don't handle heart break very well. Last year when wonder suffered a miscarriage I shut myself away completely in my bedroom on my own and didn't move for about 3 days, just spent the time tidying the room up and kept moving the furniture around. I was too wrapped up in my own self pity and let Wonder down badly but I am determined I will be more supportive this time.

Paul, I don't think you let Wonder down, everyone has to deal with things in their own way. Its the longterm support that is important. We had 3 miscarriages within a year and to be honest it was only after counselling this year that I've been able to "move on".

Fingers crossed you and Wonder get good news on Wednesday xx

The scan tomorrow will be to see if the baby has all gone as i know I have lost it. The scan showed it was only 5 weeks, so must have died 4 weeks ago. I'm in pain and losing lots so its just to make sure its all gone. Feeling quite poorly & low, still feeling very pregnant so its quite hard. It took 14 months to get pregnat again, so dont have much hope of another. [:(]
Life goes on!!

I am devastated to hear your sad news, and my thoughts are with both of you at this very difficult time.

For a couple who give so much to others on this forum, life can be very unjust and unfair. Please look after each other, and take strength from what is clearly a very strong and binding relationship.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Thank you everyone for all your kind words it means a lot to both of us. We have been to the hospital this afternoon and the scan has confirmed that wonder has had a miscarriage. As you can imagine she is devestated and it is times such as these when you ask so many questions that nobody knows the answer too. However I can honestly say that the support we have received from the forum and the lovely people that we met on Saturday at Thrifty Friends have really helped us both through this difficult time. We are also very greatful for the support that we have Received from our IP David Mond who is much more than an IP arranging an IVA. Thank you to you all.
