I dont know how anyone else feels but, haven't seen any posts or replies by Tiger Tiger recently and am really missing his/her input. Their knowledge of major subjects on the forum were a great help (i think must have been or is employed in this sector) Does anyone know if that he/she has been excluded from the forum or, has just stopped paticipating? This is not meant to belittle anyone else who posts, far from it, but surely people with such wide ranging opinons, views and expertise should be regarded as a major asset. If you are reading this Tiger Tiger please come back or, are you posting using another name?

He has been retired from the forum under that name and has been invited to post under his real name but has obviously not taken the offer up.

Personally speaking I found that his posts at times could be out of order and I know that he upset several posters with his comments.

what exactly does 'retired' from the forum mean?1?!? and why offered to post under their own name? (which as i understood is usually something not encouraged, especially after the last lot of legal wranglings!!)

I agree sometimes tigers posts seem a little 'hot' but then so do many others who still post on this forum!

im sad to say at times this forum seem to have its little 'groups' of this 'in' and those not so who are quickly challanged should their opinions not be of the 'norm' or challange other views!!!

Andy has locked him out and did post about it at the time. Tiger Tiger works in the debt industry from what I can make out so Andy wanted him to come back under his own name as an expert.

Surely anonimity should be allowed for everyone? Dont think you should have to reveal your identity just because of differing opinions.

I am only quoting what Andy says.

All of the professional experts post under their own names.

I believe the comments he made were sometimes way out of order and from his knowledge he was a professional that sometimes was making comments that in my view were not very professional (gosh I sound like someone on The only way is Essex!!)

I would not mind him coming back in a professional capacity, I would find it hard to comment on threads where he had commented as Tiger Tiger.

My opinion only [:)]

I have to agree with Kazza, despite the fact that he is a professional the tone of some of Tiger Tiger's posts were not appropriate for the forum.

As Harpic says all the professional experts post using their own name and with a picture and presumably Tiger Tiger did not want to do this.

Ohh i see, i was away last week so must have missed this, i know there was some questions about who or what tiger representated (personal or profesisonal)

I appreciate what epople say about the tone of the posts, however i found it refreshing peopl debating the practice of some Ip's or firms on here. Ive still never worked out if this forum if for clients, the public, IP's or all concerned, because if its the later will the balance ever be right?!?!?

Just a thought

Hi

The forum was becoming a discussion board for professionals and it is not the way that I want the forum to go.

I think it is only right that professionals within the industry post with their identity known.

For Info TigerTiger wil be coming back later in the year and will be a forum expert with his identity shown in the same way that myself and other professional posters are.

I don't post under my real name, but as it is readily available by clicking on my profile I don't suppose it makes too much difference. I recall that when I started posting on here I was asked the same question as Tiger Tiger re expert status and was personally happy to do so. I am glad to see that Tiger Tiger feels the same and I will be happy to see more posts from him/her. There is certainly nothing wrong with healthy debate in my opinion, and Tiger Tiger certainly came across as passionate whether you agreed with a point of view or not.

Regards.

HI Arty -- I must say I haven't noticed little groups forming on the forum. Some know each other elsewhere, true, but I don't feel the forum is cliquey (?) in any way. Mind you, I am in a clique of my own :-)

Tiger's posts could be a bit abrasive at times and always encouraged healthy debate, but he always remained a gentleman !

I must say though, that some of his threads did go into the realms of professional debate and trials within trials, which could be a bit offputting to those who just visit for some good plain talking help.

I do look forward to his return though.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I look forward to his return as an expert, he did encourage debate I do admit.

I do agree with Foggy we need good plain talking as I lose interest if I don't understand. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Recovering - this is why I was worried the way the forum was going.

I am all for healthy debate and I know my replies are normally quite basic but I gave up reading any thread where I saw certain names had been posting.

If you were just starting out asking for help I'm sure you would have gone away from the forum recovering (seeing how worried you were about your circs at the time). I would have been the same.

I'm sure when he/she comes back it will be better to see that they are an expert in x y or z - although I still may ignore the threads, unless I get a degree in financial matters before then!![;)]
