1. Do not leave out any creditors

2. Do not set unrealistic spending limits per month

3. Keep to a strict budget

4. Absoulute honesty between you and your practitoner do not keep anythng from them

5. If having problems with the payments ask for a variation

6. On no acount enter into an IVA if you cannot afford it you have to make those payments.

7. Consider bankruptcy or the new Debt Orders IVAs are not an easy option they are HARD WORK

8. Stay optimistic

Some good points made and if they are followed then your IVA journey should be ok !

Good points made there. I had a wobble last night as have £50 to last a week and may need fuel etc, but as OH said, before we were not using our money we were using credit to get through the month so to have £50 with a week til payday is far better then we used to have.

I've had a bad month this month with daughters 18th and now hubby off work but hopefully be back on track soon x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
