It's so confusing, isn't it?! I understand what you mean about the DMP, kallis3. I think I will ask my hubby to contact Melanie or David for a proper discussion about whether is possible to go for an IVA, and the pros and cons as against a remortgage. Right now he is at work and my head is spinning. Thanks for your help.

One idea that has come to mind is to get my name put on the mortgage anyway - as I've always paid half it seems mad not to, plus I'm going to be paying it all for the foreseeable future!

I think you do need to discuss this with an IP over the phone, they can help you decide which way to go.

The fact that you have contributed to the mortgage will give you a bebneficial interest in same. Discuss with a lawyer and then an IP. This sort of advice will cost nothing. Good luck.
