Bit of good news, DFD have just emailed me a ppi declaration form to sign, scan and send back to them, which I just have.
They've said that once they receive these signed forms back they will forward them to the Completions team to proceed with the closing of my IVA and the issuing of my closure certificate. Hopefully that won't take too long.
IVA CC received 6th Sept 2012

Insist on being put through to your IP, and confirm that you will have not choice but to make a formal complaint if this is not done. Also e-mail your IP and warn them that if you do not hear from them within 7 days you will also instigate a complaint - firstly through their internal complaints process and latterly to their regulators. I feel sure that you will then be taken seriously.

As for a claims management company dealing with your personal tax, I simply despair! How do they know how much tax to pay over to HMRC, and what tax rate you as individuals actually are required to pay. This is dangerous, and anyone thinking of making a PPI claim via their IP's recommended CMC must ensure that they understand the position re tax on interest paid.

I quite agree Melanie but this is what the customer service people at DFD have informed me, i shall make that call to EIF as i don't want a letter from HMRC coming through the door, especially as i won't have seen a penny of any of the money. Could i also ask of you a question please, should my PPI monies be enough to pay off my IVA, fees and also statutory interest am i correct in saying that the IVA will be marked as paid in full, but will it still remain on my record for 6 years?

Yes - your credit rating will be affected for six years from the date the IVA was accepted by creditors.

So by the time I get my cOmpletiin certificate which will probably be a year after completing my final payment and be 6 years I should be ok and can rebuild my credit rating or can I start now while I'm waiting for my CC?

You can check your records to see if anyone has defaulted you after the date of acceptance. You'll then need to write to the data controllers for those concerned but you will need the completion letter so that you can send copies to them.

Thanks Melanie, really appreciate your answers. For those of you who are wondering whom is responsible for paying the HMRC if the funds haven't come diret to yourselves, i have been informed today that it is that of your IVA company and not that of the company who are employed to chase up the PPI! It is also paid at 20 pence in the pound. This contradicts what i was informed by DFD yesterday and to that end i have asked EIf to contact DFD and advise them that their customer services are giving out what would appear to be incorrect advice, hopefully this will be done today and then everyone will be singing from the same sheet, fingers crossed.

Just received another email from DFD confirming that my ppi declaration forms have been received and my case has now been referred to the completions team and marked as a priority. Hooray [:)] Can't believe this has all happened within a week after months of arguing with DFD over this, and it's all thanks to this forum.

To be perfectly honest with you, up until this blasted PPI business started i'd never had a problem with DFD and didn't need to at any point have to contact them, it does seem that in the last few months i've had more problems than i did when first embarked on this journey, still only another 2 weeks before i get paid and then that last payment will be paid, i'm not waiting for the SD to go out but will do it over the phone on the day my pay goes in and then take great pleasure in cancelling the SD and breathing a sigh of relief. xxx

Hi everyone. You'll just love this....I received my PPI declaration form (for me to state that I don't intend to claim) from DFD yesterday - they've only added a "w" to my surname on the actual declaration form!! Now, just how careless and unprofessional is that?!???? UNBELIEVABLE![:(!]
