Oh Mrs Skint, that's awful. That happened to me when I had toothache a few years ago, I'm sure they didn't appreciate the pain I was in until I made it clear! Don't they have emergency appointments? My old dentist had a system where if you were a real emergency you could go and wait from 8.15 in the morning until you were seen.

We do have an emergency dentist but as my own dentist wont do it i guess im a bit stuck.
I have been referred to an oral surgery about half an hour away from here and the only other apointments they had on offer were for 9am mornings. As i do a school run to out of town at 8am and then back to drop off the little ones at 9, its a bit impossible to take an early morning one.

I suppose i just have to grin and bear it for a while longer.

Mrs Skint, that's terrible! You poor thing, this is just going on and on for you. How can they just delay your appointment like that? Ooh, I'm mad! Wish I could really do something for you as opposed to just ranting on here! Hope you're ok. Viki XXXXXXX

I don't believe it!!!
I was joking around with Mrs Skint about her Toothache (winding her up!!)
and Lo and Behold 2 days later my wife , has extreme Toothache
and as per usual it always happens on a Sunday when everything is SHUT!!!.
She was dosing herself up rotten with Nurofen Plus just to ease the pain , but all to no avail.
She booked an Emergency Appointment and had the tooth out as it had an ABCESS!! at the Dentists on Monday and has been given a course of Anti-Biotics.
All of this within 24 hours , our Dentists are pretty quick around here , i don't know why Mrs Skints is taking so long.
Your better off getting your Partner to pour you out a Strong Whisky with 2 Nurofen Plus and Pulling it OUT!! yourself with a pair of strong grip pliers from B&Q

That's terrible mrs skint, can your doctor not have a word and get this bumped up the list and treated as an emergency.

Im gonna ring my ms nurse and have her ring them for me i think. When i went to see her on monday she was mad enough that i was being made to wait this long but she will blow a fuse when she hears this.
To make matters worse, my MS painkillers have been doubled since monday so im taking quite a cocktail of pills at the minute. The tiredness is destroying me which she was also very mad about as plenty of rest is very important to managing the MS.

Mrs Skint, how awful for you! It will be a good job when they have sorted you out. It does seem to be taking a long while, and there is nothing worse than toothace!

Sorry to hear about your little boy. Let's hope he hasn't got it too bad. I remember having that when I was a child and it was awful. I had so many spots that mom nicknamed me the calamine queen as I was covered in the stuff!

I dont quite know how im going to tackle the calamine lotion yet as he is terrified of medicines and creams.
He was funny this morning when we were at my friends house. I told her i was going to put him in the bath later to make the spots come out. Anyway in the car on the way home he asked if when the spots came out and fell on the floor would i pick them up and take them to the tip.

Mrs Skint, you do have to smile at things kids say don't you? I remember my stepdaughter asking me many years ago if she could have her ears 'peeled' like mine!

Our next door neighbours have a severly autistic son, who is now 17. He does not communicate at all, just laughs all the time, screams with frustration or just makes funny noises. I don't know if I could ever have coped with that.
