hi, im new to all this! the start of all this was when i got paid off in my old job due to lack of work! i had to accept a new job with a lot lower earnings. this has left me that i as only meetin payments by savings and overdraft!
it just gets worse all the time, cant sleep, getting married soon and partner is in bits over it all!
i have got advice from two companies!
debts are 19000, of which is 4 companies!
1 of which is inland revenue tax bill from couple of years ago that i only got submitted recently. tat bill is 4800.
i was told by 1 company that it could be added no problem, the other said it couldnt as the iva would be declined!
can anybody help me before its too late???
You definately need to include HMRC debt in your IVA application - and whoever advised you that it should not be giving such poor advice. Are you prepared to say which company gave such advice?
thanks, finally somebody to talk to about this!!!
the company was baines and ernest!
the other company was a name like debtfree, but not 2 sure, waitin on documents comin in post!
Take as much advice as you feel you need from different companies. When I first started here I was told that and it was definately good advice - sorry spelling not good - long week long day.
I spoke to a few and went with the company I thought was realistic and I felt comfortable with. I wanted a company that wouldn't judge and would still support me no matter how far down the line and by that I mean remember its for 5 years plus. The realism was a good start and I wasn't told anything that I didn't think was real.
yea all im worried about is not getting the iva!
i have weighed up every option and it sems the best! all the other options doesnt help, it just builds somewhere else! is a mortgage easy to get during an iva?
It would be difficult to get a mortgage whilst you are in an IVA, unless you have a sizeable deposit of at least 20% - which could not come from your own funds.
the mortgage i was thinkin on was the co ownership deal that is available now! would that make it easier to get? my half of the mortgage would be the same price as my rent at the moment!
if i have to hold out i will, im still young, 23 years old and i want a fresh start!
Sounds like a great idea - so presumably you can buy chunks of the property as you can afford to. A great way of getting on the housing ladder for the first time.
