Thanks all.

Great relief.

As an example I had an original debt of £80,000 but after my regular payments and settlement figure, I will have paid back £24,550. It was not an easy way out and contrary to my thoughts years back that "sod em" and to go bankrupt, I am pleased I did what I did. It has taught me a lot about money and from a personal point of view I will Never ever have bankrupt next to my credit file. I will still keep in touch.

I'm the same - don't intend to ever have credit again.

Please keep in touch, as your experience will be invaluable for other posters in the same position.
