Hi all,

As you know, David Mond has very kindly offered to sponsor a get together of forum members. This one is going to be called Thrifty Friends to differentiate between that and the official Frugal Friends meetings.

This one is provisonally sorted for Saturday 18th July at the County Hotel, Walsall, which is the same place we had the Christmas party last year.

We will be having a private room again and there will be a buffet served. We should have a few professionals on hand to answer any questions anyone may have.

There are rooms available for anyone wishing to stay overnight, I am currently awaiting confirmation of the price as I hope we will be able to do the same deal as last year. As soon as I know the price, I will post it on here, together with details of the hotel. It is quite easy to get to, and anyone wishing to travel by train, we can arrange a lift to and from the station.

Any newer posters on here - please try to come along, it's a great night out, food and drink are supplied and all you have to pay for is a room (if you are stopping) and transport to get there.

Everyone is welcome, parners included.

If people are interested, can they let me know on here, together with how many will be attending?

Thanks

A definite date for hubby and I (not that I've told him yet), will need to find a dog sitter and someone to care for my daughter but that should be a formality. x

Looking forward to meeting you too Skippy and of course all others. I'm fairly excited, not mentioned it to daughter yet as she generally comes everywhere with us, I'll get around to it before the date. x

I'm still waiting for confirmation of room prices, I shall have to ring up again tomorrow!

Looking forward to meeting you Lesley.

Hoping a fair few others are going to jump on board as well. Perhaps they haven't seen the thread yet as it's been a nice weekend for doing things.
