Judging by the title, I presume they say they can help with your credit rating?
If this is so, you won't be able to do anything about for six years once your IVA has been approved as the IVA will show, as will any defaults on there.
One way to help once the IVA is concluded is to make sure that your bank account details on your record are good, any mobile phone contracts are up to date and your mortgage/rent is up to date as well.

the iva is already prepared for us meeting on wednesday they work from an office in wellcroft shipley the ip is called susan wriglesworth an authorised ip i hope
Looking at red2black website, they just do debt management plans, I can't find anything about credit fix.
I've never heard of either of them before.
It isn't too late to change to another company - the companies on www.iva.com come highly recommended and you will get excellent and free advice from them.

Have you paid any "extra" fees prior to having your IVA arranged jew161?

no fees upfront no they were going to charge me 2 months payments as their fee but i told them i would go elsewhere and they dropped the fees but i have not received any letter to say why mine was adjourned just a phone call from a man called torbin wills who i speak to quite alot he said it had stopped 20 meetings that day seems alot
i came across the company through numerous phone calls from a place called red2black then when they knew i was interested in an iva they put me on to creditfix and then the rest was quite fast really i filled in all my paperwork and sent evrything off in the post rec del to them and they reccomended an iva because of the level of debt i had
An IVA shouldn't just be recommended on the amount of debt you have, it is also on the amount of disposable income you have to offer the creditors.
Did this firm cold call you? It sounds to me as though they were very persistent in trying to sign you up. Were you informed of all the options open to you, iva, bankruptcy and debt management programme?

they did work out my disposable income and there was enough to go ahead i was made aware of all the options and was not interseted in bankruptcey so they told me an iva could be proposed they seemed very helpful but looking at the paperwork what they have in their fees seems alot so i suppose this could make the creditors reject the propsals i wish i had done more research but we were pretty desperate as we were finding it difficult to make repayments on unsecured debt
