My OH got this letter today regarding mis selling of our IVa, it goes on about how they were originally aimed at business and not individuals. I wont bore you with the twaddle in the letter. it seems to be asking if we would like their help in going Br and they can do this for the two of us for £800.
My question is has anyone heard of these people and if you have are they any good.
We are by the way happy with our IVA and am just curious to know why we got the letter.
I would just bin the letter. These Bankruptcy assist companies trawl the insolvency register and send out these letters to people they find. They think anyone with no assets was "mis sold" an IVA.
If you are happy with your IVA then carry on with it and destroy the vultures letter.
Don't forget that the fees they will charge is on top of the £510 each you would be charged for the court fees.

Couldn't agree more with the others. There is no need to pay these companies £800 for filling out forms that you can do yourself for free. They are trawling the register and causing more worries for those in IVAs.
I agree with what the guys have said. Unfortunately there are companies like this that target people in IVAs. They get their data from the Insolvency Register which is open to the public. Debt Free Direct continues to lobby the Insolvency Service to make this register hidden.
Best thing to do with the letter is to send it to your supervisor.
It's the people who don't know about these who I worry about. They will see these firms as an easy way out of their problems, and they're not.
