Is crystal clear debt solutions (www.ccds.uk.com) a legal company as I am paying them money but when I type in they're web address nothing comes up with that title, thanks
Hi Paul Thanks for your quick reply, will try to keep it short. I have an iva with john geddes and dec/13 a leaflet thru my door gave a number to ring to see if I had been advised correctly with a debt solution, I rang, was told I should have been advised to go for bankruptcy as I live on ESA and DLA Benefits and they put me in touch with ccds who advised me to stop paying my iva and not to have any contact with john geddes to just ignore them and my iva will be stopped then they would take over and deal with my creditors and the paper work for the bankruptcy app, I asked if it would be ok to add 2 more creditors that were not on the iva and ccds said no problem. When these 2 creditors started contacting me I gave them all the info and they told me that ccds would have to contact them giving them copies of the form I signed giving ccds permission to act on my behalf, I told this to ccds they said no, to tell the creditors to contact them? I had this same conversation with ccds on a couple of occasions to the same ending so I wrote to Tesco Credit Card and Vodafone and gave them the same info in writing. Tesco have rung me again so I explained again and they said they have never heard of a debt solution comp working in that way and they advised me to contact stat change for some advise, I tried ringing ccds on their work phone as well as on the home number I was given in case of an emergency, I have left several messages on both phones asking for someone to contact me urgently, no one has?, so I tried to find ccds online but to no avail? so I rung a couple of gov debt companies who tried to find out about ccds but with no luck, the last company I contacted advised me to stop payments to ccds. I have paid ccds (formprep ltd) £510 so far and have another £510 left to pay, the reason I have to pay £1020 is for them to deal with my creditors and the paper work for the court for the bankruptcy but I have been dealing with the creditors myself< I'm all confused now as to what to do next ie do I continue to pay ccds or do I cancel with them and would I be entitled to get my money back? I would be very grateful on any advise you can give me, Thanks Audrey
They are simply a bankruptcy assist company. You can make yourself bankrupt cheaper!! They are worth avoiding but its too late for that if you have already stopped paying the iva and have paid money towards crystal clear!
I'd be tempted to contact your iva provider and tell them whats happened and stop payments to crystal! Are they taking payments directly off of a debit card?
Paul

We haven't stopped using debtadvice.tv - my IT guys are looking into this now.
A real shame that what seemed to have been a perfectly good IVA with a reputable IP firm has been disturbed. Did you feel that you had been inappropriately advised by your IP Audrey, or were you simply swept away by the hard self of a company that now appear to have really let you down?
Hi Melanie when I got my iva there were 2 creditors that were not added to the iva as I didn't owe them any money at that time, my iva had been running for approx 16mths and by then I was also indebt with these 2 company's so I asked the ip firm I was with if they could help me sort something out with them and they told me no as they weren't on the iva, I was struggling financially and didn't know what to do, an independent body advised me that I should have been put forward for bankruptcy and not an iva and they put me in touch with ccds who agreed with this so on their advice I stopped payments to the iva and was told by ccds they would help me with the paperwork for the bankruptcy once my iva had been cancelled, it was £600 for their help with the paperwork or £1020 for them to also deal with my creditors on the iva and the 2 extra creditors that I owe money to outside of the iva, I opted for the latter and have so far paid £510 to ccds, they haven't had to do anything for me as I explained in my earlier post I have been dealing with the 2 creditors myself, ccds haven't had to deal with the creditors on the iva as its still active, what I need help with is do I opt to pay ccds the other £90 and let them do the paperwork for me and I will handle my creditors myself or do I cut my loses and wait for the iva to be cancelled and then start over again and go with another ip and go for bankruptcy and cancel my contact with ccds, I don't know what to do?? if john geddes could have helped me with the 2 new debts then I would have stayed with them but I felt I had no option but to seek help else where, ccds as of yet have not really let me down as they won't have to do anything until I have the letter stating my iva has been cancelled, sorry if it's a bit long winded but it's hard trying to explain it all to someone new, any advise you can give me would be truly appreciated, Thank You, Audrey
