I have been assured by GT that my IVA has been fully concluded. I will get the completion documents in the next few days (Delay as they use some new external checking system). I have also received a letter from EIC who act for GT re PPI saying that have potentially identified a claim source (Which is a surprise, as I was confident I had never taken any out) & need me to sign a new letter of authority before they can pursue the claim. As I have completed my IVA, have I any legal obligations to GT & EIC to cooperate with their request? This also begs the question, would I now be entitled to pursue this matter for myself as I am now officially no longer tied to the terms of an IVA. Probably morally incorrect but legally?

Legally, as things stand, the PPI claim is regarded as an asset of the IVA. If they issue the completion certificate (which I doubt they will now do) they might pursue for the PPI refund.

My thoughts are that they will withold formal completion until the PPI issue is concluded.

This is a completely grey area as nothing has yet been challenged in court and there are no precedents.

I, too, was confident there was no PPI to be had -- they found over £8,000.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
