Hi..I am about 18 months into an IVA. I am separated from my wife. Having met a foreign girl online, I wanted to sponser her to come to the UK but her visa application was denied. I suspect this is because of my IVA. Is it worth re-applying or is her application likely to be repeatedly denied?

I would have no idea how the Home Office views VISA applications but they may feel that you are not in a position to keep her if you are in an IVA. This would mean she would need to work or claim benefits but I am only guessing.

Hi Adrian. There could be many reasons for a visa rejection, depending upon the class of visa she applied for. The biggie is that you need a certain level of income to be able to support her without recourse to public funds.

Have you met the face to face meeting requirements ? For some visa classes from some countries you are required to have met her in her own country first.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
