Can PPI money be kept by IVA company even when the IVA is finished ?

I finished my iva in may but the company I was with applied for ppi claim I was awarded an amount of money in sept but the bank sent the cheque to that company 4 months after I finished my iva and I have heard nothing from any company since,can they keep the money even when you have finished your iva.

I believe they can. We have had to sign to say we will let IP know of any future claims.

Hi Paul. The monies are due to the IVA estate as an asset of the arrangement and will be dealt with under the continuing trust created by that arrangement, if you have had your completion certificate. If you haven't yet had the certificate then the IVA is still active in any event.

so they can also take any inheritence after you have recieved the completion cert as well
