Hi, 3.5 years into an IVA dependent on husbands voluntary maintenance payments I've had the rugged pulled and my lovely cost cottage has been ordered by divorce Court to be sold. The IVA will be repaid in full as soon as we complete. I seriously depressed at the prospect of renting. I will have 20 - 30k and a small pension. Can't bear to let this whittle away in rent over the years - I am emotes but can't afford more than 700 per month which gets me nothing but a bedroom much. I would dearly like to start a repayment mortgage up for 10 - 15 years any chance do you think. I'm 55 and have paid a mortgage for many years on my own without default and throughout IVA period does that help? I did have a mortgage offer for transfer if equity for my home but my ex husband wanted the cash out.
Are there any reliable broker who would consider me if I bade an application?
