Hi, we are 14 months into our IVA and have the opportunity to move abroad in 6 months or so to a much better salary and an opportunity to clear the IVA early (and thus in full). Moving however has lots of costs including housing and school fees. Two questions - would this scenario qualify for a payment break and secondly if we kept our house in the UK would that be acceptable expenditure?

Hi and welcone to the forum. Very hard to give specific advice without knowing the full details of your iva agreement.
You may be allowed to retain your property in the uk and rent it out covering mortgage costs, whilst renting abroad but you must seek the permussion if your IP in the first instance who would be able to assess the change in curcumstance in full and then advise on whether a payment break nay be possible.

Hi. As Luluj says, this is really a discussion you need to have, in detail, with your IP.

Best of luck with the move.

It seems reasonable and if your intention is to repay in full I am sure creditors will look at any variation favourably.
