We wanted to post this info on the forum as for many months we viewed other peoples posts for hope and inspiration.

We took out our IVA in 2008 and managed to pay it off by 2010. However, the IVA was only finally removed from our credit records on 14th October 2014.
We were desperate to move house for work reasons and began talking to Ryan at Zebra Money in June to see whether this would even be a possibility given the new mortgage rules and how difficult it seemed to be to get a mortgage for people with perfect credit records, not alone for us.
Ryan has become a friend over the past 6 months, helping us to clean our records, holding our hands and giving advice along the way. He applied for a mortgage on our behalf on 15th October, just the day after our IVA was wiped from our records - 3 days later we had a mortgage offer in our hand from a high street lender - we put down 15% deposit, mortgage was for £145,000. Yesterday, we completed and took the keys to our new house.
It has been a long stressful process, but Ryan has been with us all the way and we would not have been able to achieve this result (legitimately and honestly so no worries about any comebacks in the future) without his help.
There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel and if you need to get a mortgage we would recommend Ryan every time. We'll be using him again when the fixed rate comes to an end in the future.

Good luck to everyone...

Louise and Kevin Thompson

Great post and goes to show that there is life after an IVA and a pat on the back for Ryan :-)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
