Can I pay into my IVA for an extra year rather than remortgage ?

If you cannot get a remortgage that is the usual outcome. Remortgages are very difficult to get so most IVAs are extended although some people are getting secured loansd to close down the IVAs.

I personally would prefer the extra 12 months to a secured loan. It really doesn't feel right to ne that you work really hard for 5 years to pay off your debts and then at the end you take out a secure loan .. just re-entering into further debt...just my opinion!!
