Hi Sharon. You will need to send them a copy of your IVA Completion Certificate and ask them to update their records. You may also want to check that your completion has been registered by the Insolvency Service here:
https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/

and with the main credit reference agencies like Experian etc.

All depends upon when the original default was dated --- it will drop off 6 years after that date and Barclays should have used a date on or around the start of the IVA.

If you go to http://pjgrecovery.com/clean-up-credit-rating.asp there is a template letter you can send to Barclays to get them to amend the date.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Yes foggy it should of dropped off after 6 years but it didn't everything else came off the credit file apart from barclays now I have spoken to the ombudsman service who are dealing with this now I was told it would be removed after 28 days and that barclays have made a big eerror the ombudsman are going to contact barclays again to find out when barclays are coming off the file it could be this month or next month.

I just checked this again and my name has appeared back on it! I searched a couple of times before and it had disappeared so can't quite understand it. Hopefully it will gone once I receive my completion certificate. :-(
