I have now today received my completion certificate. The last five years have been a nightmare but so e lessons learnt.

Great news !

Did you have to wait long for it?
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!

Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA :)

Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

I paid my last payment 26th Feb, then out of the blue I got a 7 k PPI payment which I paid in, signed the. Deed of assignment and got completion today

I don't feel overjoyed, the toll of this has been high, break up of my marriage, heart attack, diabetese etc

Ash, my marriage went south ( I fear in large part due to the constraints of the IVA, but the financial nightmares leading up to the IVA didn't help). But I am still thankful to be debt free --- a new life to start is far easier without financial woes.

IVA's definitely are stressful at times, and can absolutly affect relationships as well as health.

I agree that their are lessons we learn from these challenging times, and as Foggy has said, this is your fresh start without the financial worries hanging over you.
