Hi,
I completed my IVA a few years ago, it begain in 2006 and continued the full duration completing in 2011 (had an agred 6mth payment break due to redundancy) other than time no mis payments and have recieved the completion certificate. I recently applied for credit and was turned down, I checked my credit rating and the IVA is still showing. Who should I contact to have this removed? The firm/IP who managed my IVA or is there something else I need to do? Thanks.....

Hi there take a look here and if you've got your certificate do send a copy over to the credit reference agencies as your IVA should not be showing now.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Check the Insolvency register here first:

https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/ and make sure you are no longer listed as being in an IVA.

Then obtain a credit report from say Experian to see which creditor/s might be causing the problem. Get in touch with the creditor, send them your CC again and ask the them to update their records.

The link Lesley gave will give you good background info and an idea of what to do.

Sometimes the CRA registers a Notice Of Correction which they will remove on request, but it does not drop off automatically.

Get copies of your reports and see where the damage is.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
