I have an IVA in place jointly with my wife, we have not recently paid the monthly payment as we were advised that this was the right thing to do, the company which advised us of this has since vanished and we cant get hold of them, should I re instate my payment.

You were totally wrongly advised and your IVAs might have failed. Get in touch with your IP as soon as possible to see if they can be salvaged.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

It looks like you have fallen victim to a scam from a 'bankruptcy assist' company. Your IP will have come across this before and can help so hopefully they have not failed it yet.

Speak to your IP quickly to resolve the position. Why did they advise you to stop?
