Hi (I know the rules about loans money and I have already asked my IP about this loan) Has anyone borrowed money from any source whilst in IVA? (no payday loans, no loans with guarantor, no loans from family or friends, please) I have to buy a vehicle and IP let me borrow up to 500£ (it's always something [:)]). But I do not know, where can I apply for any loans up to 500£ whilst I am in Iva.

Thanks for any help!

Some have managed to get a Vanquis credit card whilst still in their IVA. Interest rate is high though !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I've read other posts on this forum suggesting Moneybarn for help with purchasing a vehicle.

Another solution would be to ask your IP for a few months payment break (which will be added back on at the end) to save the money towards the car.

Thanks Foggy and Lisa. I feel Moneybarn offers bigger loan amount than 500£, and it's a good idea to ask for a few months payment break. But first I will have a try to apply for a membership at credit unions. It's certainly something worth looking at.
