Has anyone successfully remortgaged to release the equity in year 4? Are there any specialist organisations ?

Remortgaging is almost impossible but if you contact Shaun Vickery from Select you may find a suitable secured loan. His details are in the experts section.

Dont discount your current provider offering you a better deal (they wont release extra money) but it might make you better off during the final year.

It is put in so that if house prices rise, you may be able to remortgage in the future. Some IP firms also ask you to go down the secured loan road.

There was a time when remortgaging was available to those in an IVA -- and, I guess, the creditors leave it there in case that time comes round again ( as these things have a habit of doing).
