hi. i was living with my father when i entered my iva in jan 2012 he passed away just 3months later leaving me his house which had been paid for. With 18months left of my iva my girlfriend has offered to pay an early settlement for me, is this possible & what about any future house sale either during the present iva term or after its maturity.
Regards Geoff.

Hi Geoff. Sorry to hear about your father. I am afraid that, under the terms of your IVA, the inheritance is regarded as a windfall and should be paid into the IVA to settle the outstanding debt. Have you informed your IP about this inheritance ?
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
