Just had nationwide on the phone got an appointment to go tomorrow 3.30 to apply for a current account at the moment only got a card cash account with lloyds. She said if l get turned down l carnt get an basic account with them which l thought l could do. My 6 years are up today with the iva so don't know how long it takes to come off your file. She said there be an credit check for the current account don't know if I'm doing the right thing trying. As anyone on here managed to get an current account with nationwide or any other bank after an iva.

Have you checked to make sure the IVA has dropped off today?

I've looked on the noodle one I'm on through callcredit and it's still showing on but as completed. Which it's been like that since June. I'm just scared of going through with this bank and them doing a credit check turning me down and it been on my credit file think that's why I'm in 2 minds what to do.

Yes, they each only report what is reported to them by the creditors and different creditors report to and use different agencies.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

So looks like going for it and keeping my fingers crossed that they use an agency my iva as come off. Suppose if l don't get it l could just wait 6 months and hopefully build my credit rating up and try again.

Yes, they can say different things - my IVA does show as completed but I do have a default on one record (really must get it cleared!) so hopefully you will be ok.
