Car finance after IVA

Hi my IVA is due to end in 6 months and my car finance is under the iva, does that mean I own the car when the iva is over and can I sell the car?? Thanks

As long as the car was financed with a personal loan and hot HP, you should be OK. If it was HP or the loan was secured on the vehicle it should not have been included in the IVA.

Are you sure that the finance company was listed as a creditor?

To be honest I'm not sure, I just remember getting the car from Carcraft and when I was having the iva set up freeman Jones asked if I wanted the car under the iva too?

I would think, if you haven't been making separate car payments, it will have been personal finance, otherwise they would have been in touch before now. Seems strange that they would ask though.

As Foggy has stated the car should only be included if not subject to a HP or other secure payments.
