I have been in an IVA since 2012, the Inland Revenue have requested a breach be issued. I have done my returns and they came out stating I owe money which I stated I will pay on a payment plan. They have set a meeting for the 10th September which I have only just been informed off and they have requested VAT returns for every year since 2010. When I set up the IVA money was owed on tax and this was incorporated into the IVA. Is there anyway of postponing the meeting as I can not get all the information required in such a short length of time.

Hi Kerry - Can I just understand that you are saying you are in breach because you have not kept up with payments for your ongoing (post) IVA taxes? Who has set a meeting for 10th September - your IVA Supervisor or HMRC? Have they requested outstanding VAT returns be submitted? Is this what the breach is for? Sorry for all the questions!

Hi Kerry,

No idea on this one - hopefully one of the experts can help.

Have you spoken to your IP?

Can you clarify the queries raised by Lisa as it is very difficult to answer based on what you have said. If there are post IVA returns not submitted or money due to HMRC then you will almost certainly be made bankrupt.
