Employment credit check. Hubby just started New job now given forms for credit check etc. Iva finished 3 years early can they dismiss him during probation period when iva declared. He wasn't asked about this prior to being hired
You say he finished early - is the six years up yet? Perhaps he could make an anonymous call to HR to check what their position is and also check the T&C on his contract.
What line of work is he in?

It's still on credit file 6 years not up until 2018 it's only a warehouse job but for pharmaceutical company. Surely if it was an issue they woul have asked the question prior to employing him
Who knows how companies work these days. He may be ok but still best to check.

What questions have they asked? If it says are you/have you been bankrupt the answer is no. If it says are you in an IVA (or something similar) the answer is no. This may only be a sticking point if it asks whether he's been in an IVA within a certain time period. Even then I suspect its not reason to dismiss him. Some companies ask to prevent bullying/bribery from other colleagues in the workplace.
it asks if there have been any civil proceedings (not matrial or family matters) e.g. proceedings against debt, but it does state on the offer letter that employment is subject to reference etc, also police check but no mention of credit check!
I can only think this will be fine as no legal action has ever been instigated. The IVA would not show on a search of the register and to run a credit check would require prior consent and the ability to do so.
Fingers crossed welshwiz - let us know what happens.
