Had a letter from HSBC today stating I'm due a refund for £129. Apparently they didn't tell me during my loan with them, Many years back, that I could make partial repayments over the course of the agreement. So are paying back some of the interest I paid. Now to be clear this isn't ppi? I'm very suprised by this. I'll pass it on to credifix in the morning and transfer them the money when it's paid. But anyone else had something like this recently?

So unlike banks to pay back something that they aren't forced to.

I recently got £3k back from Barclays & £205 form RBS both re PPI, even though these had already been investigated & settled.

I think the Ombudsman has had a shake up and overturned some decisions made by Banks so they are having to revisit previous calculations of compensations made.

still waiting to hear back from Credifix . Be nice if they consider 130 quid a small enough amount I can hold onto.

I doubt they will have the discretion to do that.

Had to call credifix after a week of waiting . They've told me that it still falls under the PPi bracket but if its getting straight to me then I can keep my grubby mitts on it because its under £500. Thankgod for that on a month my car decides it hates working. :)

That's great news.
