Hi,
I am just about to start an IVA and have been paying my creditors off for the past 7 years but it is taking to long.Over the 6 years I would have paid about another £10000, if later down the line a relative helped me pay it off will they take a lump sum ?

Hi and welcome,

Yes, you can make a lump sum payment during the IVA. How much will depend upon how long you have been paying.

A third party lump sum is often an acceptable way of dealing with an IVA.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Yes - based on the amount of contributions you have left however if that option is available now might be best to see if you can do a deal with creditors now and avoid an IVA altogether.
