Hi and welcome,

Speak to one or two more firms before making a decision. Andy Davie/Vincent Bond (details under the ask experts a question link on the left hand side of the page) will give you free advice.

Did you have a meeting with them in person?

Did they talk about whether any alternative options are open to you?

I'd be happy to chat and give you a second opinion.

An IVA may be an option but do your homework before you agree to go with anyone. You will want to have access to your IP for the duration of the IVA so make sure you can speak with one now otherwise you have no chance during the five years.

Totally agree with what the others are saying and do hope you take the advice of one, two or even three or more others before proceeding. Always best to gain impartial case specific advice.

Have a look around the forum, you'll be able to see who's with who and judge how they feel.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Karen I advise you to choose a company that regularly post here!

Credit fix do not typically contribute to this forum though they have chipped in from time to time and gone quiet.

They bought up a load of IVAs and made a few pretty large gaffes in the early days upsetting many on here and causing a great deal of bad feeling.

However, things have settled down and they don't appear to be quite the bogeymen they seemed to be at first and they have started to get a reputation for closing down IVAs efficiently at the end and generally being fair and friendly.

However they are a big organisation and not very personal. You always deal with someone different each time and don't get the one-to-one you get with smaller companies.

Please bear the above in mind when searching for info about them on here.

However I reiterate... A company that regularly posts on here is a big deal. Ask anyone who uses this forum a lot. You can post questions and they will answer. This forum is a lifeline so if your ip is a regular user it's great.
One pay-cheque away from oblivion!
