Could the amount I have paid already be taken into account to settle arrears or finish early ?

I was on a dmp for a year and half and pay the same amount on an iva.could the amount I have paid into the small be taken into account to finish my iva early or to settle any arrears on my iva?

Hi and welcome

The amount you paid on the DMP will have been paid across to creditors but you won't finish your IVA early unless you can pay your original debt 100p in the pound plus fees.

Any arrears on your IVA will probably be tagged onto the end of it. Are you struggling with your payments?

Your opening balances on the debts will be reduced by whatever has been paid in up to date, less any fees if you are not with one of the charity DMP providers.

No it just would have reduced your creditors in the IVA accordingly.

If you are in arrears in your IVA you are at risk of breaching and failing it...!
