Is it possible for me to acquire our council house. My partner would be getting the mortgage.

Hi I have an iva and my partner wants to buy our council house. I have the discount as it was initially my tenancy. He has only been on it for 5 years ( I have had it for 13) so to get the better discount I would have to be on the forms although he would be getting the mortgage etc.. Is this possible h

As previously stated by Foggy - he can take out the mortgage but you would have to rescind your tenancy and him take it on.

Make sure there is nothing joint that would hamper his credit record.
