I'm 2yrs into my 5yr IVA, am worried as when my next review is due, my bank statements will show I have gambled playing poker. What will happen? Will I have ruined my IVA?

As long as it isn't perceived to be a problem t=it should be OK -- are we talking the odd flutter or is a lot of money going down the drain ?

Was gambling a factor in your initial debt problems ?

I would advise stopping the gambling now, before it gets worse and getting yourself locked out of the sites. Show that you have recognised a potential problem and are already tackling it.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi and welcome,

Is there any reason why you started gambling? Is your I&E set correctly?

You may find you have a problem with your IVA unless you can prove that you have stopped gambling and are taking steps not to do it again.

Everyone has a sports and hobbies allowance and if you want to spend yours entering poker competitions online there is no problem. However if you are gambling money that you cannot afford and other bills are being missed then this would be an issue.

Dont panic as there is always a solution but if gambling was a factor in requiring an iva do you think you have a problem which is out of control?
