Hello, I completed my IVA last year and my six year anniversary is next month. I notice Halifax on my credit file defaulted yesterday despite the original default date of 19/10/10. I understood that defaults should fall off after 6 years?. Anyone know if this is just computer updating . I informed all my creditors of Iva completion so I'm baffled they have defaulted at 6 year point?[?]

The default date is the important thing --- the monthly status updates are merely repeating the original int formation NOT re-defaulting. Give it a few days ant it should disappear, lock, stock and barrel. If not just remind the agency.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thanks foggy. Will raise an equifax query. The strange thing is they have changed status from settled or partially settled to a default status again.

wait until 6 year mark has passed - if it doesn't drop off then chase the Bank up.

Thanks, but have update from Equifax.

The default date on my Halifax credit card was 19th October 2010. But for some odd reason the date itself has been changed to 25 Oct 2010!. Can the creditors do this ?. Change a default date? Equifax are going to take it up with Halifax - just don't want it bouncing every week. On the positive - 4 defaults turned green. Only 2 defaults showing.

The main thing is that it will all fall off shortly.
.
Just keep on checking and then contact the data controllers for for Halifax and tell them to remove the default back to the start of the IVA so it all drops off at the start of the IVA

It's all going to be academic once the 6 year anniversary passes.
