If I were unsuccesful in obtaining an IVA , am I then obliged to file for bankruptcy ?

However if I were to succesfully take out an IVA would i be able to continue trading as a self employed (sole trader) on ebay ?

Hi marlina and welcome to the forum

No - you could also propose a Debt Mangement Programme to your creditors. And you would be able to continue to trade whilst self employed during an IVA. I already have a couple of self-employed e-bay traders on my own books.
