My one dog has some staffie in him - does he count?[:D]

Perhaps he could teach you some choice words Skip!

Julie - don't mind the Strongbow, but I wouldn't be sitting in the front garden to drink it!

Then again, isn't Strongbow a bit posh? Wouldn't it be White Lightning? That's cheaper and more potent I think!

You're right Jan, a 3 litre bottle of White Lightening would be more appropriate!

I'm looking forward to our when our neighbours have their next party. Last time they had a bouncy castle and loads of screaming kids. I was watering the front garden when one of the mothers left with her little darling - "what d'ya mean ya owe 'im a ******* tenner? Get in the ******* car!" The kid was about 10!

It was one of those occasions when you want to look, but don't want to get involved!

It makes you want to shudder doesn't it?

Perhaps you need the White Lightning to numb the noise![:D]

Just a bit! When we moved here the estate agent called it a desirable tree lined avenue, and if they moved out it would be!

A bit of sabotage perhaps? Get Harry to deposit pond weed or a few choice dead things in the garden!

Hello all - just going back to the Trampoline thing and I dont have one - yet! But I am certainly no chav!! & Nor are the people whom have one where we live!!!!
Moving into this house is the first time my little ones have had a garden & they spend all day most days outside. The one I am thinking of getting is from argos with safety enclosure & fully padded plus it has 50quid off at the mo.
Ideally I would love to get them a swing set - but getting a decent one is alot more expensive. Where as the trampoline can be put up n off you go n stored in the shed in winter. I am only able afford a trampoline - due to being a member of the TNS shopping monitor - where they pay you in vouchers for scanning your shopping. So I am treating them to one with my vouchers. It certainly is not an excuse for me not to take them out for walks n bike rides or going to the park as we do that any way. One set of my neighbours are grumpy any way n get annoyed if a ball goes over - but I have told my boys they must not go round for it & wait for them to throw it back over when they are next in the garden. All the other neighbours have children an trampolines so it wont matter to them. x

I hope they enjoy it Mrs K! My main complaint about them is I don't think it's fair if you are in your garden and heads keep appearing over the fence - I think that's quite intrusive. Thankfully our immediate neighbours don't have children, and the nearest family with children are a few doors along so thankfully I can ignore them!

I am sure they will - I need something for them to do one we do have days in the garden - as I am fed up of them digging up mud n getting really mucky!! Though no doubt when the novelty wears off I bet I find them in the mud again!
All the fences & hedges around us are 6ft n the fence between us n grumpy next door is 4ft - but they put it in along with the previous owner. If I did not have children I would find it annoying too. I do like the paint gun idea a good one too! Though I would not like any child to get hold of one!

Some Children are horrid - we have a family of 3 at the back of us n they are really annoying. The parents keep them locked in the back garden all day at weekends n holidays n they drive me mad. The are always climbing the 6ft fence n standing on top of it - once one fell over onto our side n was very lucky as its concrete slabs. The youngest one aged 5 - called my little ones F***ing B*****ds & the parents said nothing. They wind up my little boys n ask them to give them their toys then. Grumpy next door gets really fed up of them n think mine are a dream! I wish some people would be more responsible for their kids - its not that hard.

The ones near me haven't really got a chance with mum and dad being like they are - as much as I don't like them I feel quite sorry for them really.

I'm thankful that our neighbours kids don't have a trampoline as I would hate to be sitting in my garden and seeing them popping up every few seconds!

What winds me up with them is the ball games! If they play in the garden, the ball ends up in our garden, so we are constantly up and down to the door and into the garden to throw it back. They also play in the street with it and we live in a small cul de sac with cars parked outside and I am waiting for the day that someone's car is damaged.

Jan - the parents really should do what I do with mine, if it goes over it stays over till next door are next out in the garden.
As it goes for playing on the street - I can control my own kids but not everyone elses!!
My boys heads will be bobbing up n down in the summer but no more than what they do now with one side of the neighbours. Alot of families lve where we are now so everyone is used to it. The one thing I cant be doing with is the parents whom dont keep an eye on their own. If I dont know the parents their kids r not coming in my garden or my house! Luckily I have got freindly with those around me - its the rest that I wont deal with! x

We're friendly with our neighbours (you have to be with only 10 houses in the road!)and our immediate one's are pretty good and will sometimes tell the kids they can't come round about the ball.

I'm glad my daughter is now too old for all of this (21!) but even when she was younger she wasn't allowed to play out in the street unless an adult was out there as well. It wasn't too bad as during the summer we used to have impromtu parties in the street so the young kids at the time used to have a whale of a time. As did the adults.

Perhaps I'm just getting old and stuck in my ways![:D]

We have the grumpy lady next door - but everyone says shes grumpy, but she like us as we cut down a 6ft highlander tree that was blocking her light within a few weeks of moving in!!
Plus everyone knew who we were b4 we moved in - with my dad been across the road for the past 30 years!! So I soon got friendly with those close to me - some have know me since the age of 2. So I am fortunate to have everyone looking out for my boys - but they are only allowed to play out side on the path/grass at the front of the house. The most important rule they have is they do not cross or go on the road - or they will be hell to pay!! And I am always watching - always!!!
