I poured Asda's own tomato sauce into an empty Heinz Tomato sauce bottle then sneaked it onto the table confident my kids would not be able to tell the difference. They did. Straight away [:I] I was accused of being a skinflint!! Ah well I guess we stick with Heinz T Sauce! (along with Warburton's bread, heinz baked beans and walkers crisps) Own brand for mostly everything else. I still reckon we are saving around £40 to £50 a month
My thanks to Melanie and her team :)

I always buy Heinz Beans and you can get them for 35p a tin at Heron if you have one local to you, we do buy Aldi bread now and actually like it, we have Heinz sauces I have to admit, free range eggs, chicken etc., but lots of other own brands like you. Aldi's I have found to be very good quality on most things and their prices are very competitive to that of a major supermarket, I was sceptical at first but now I love the place. Shopping for me now takes twice as long as I visit a fair few shops but worth it financially.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

It has to be Heinz sauce!

There are certain things that can't be substituted - Kellogs cereal, Alpro soya milk, Heinz beans and sauce, Hovis bread...

It doesn't have to be heinz beans or ketchup but it does have to be heinz salad cream - no other salad cream compares!!!

And British!

Other than that we have turned into skintflints and if it's not on the list we don't buy it - which can make it interesting the week after!!!
