I got a letter today from Tyler Morgan Claims Ltd based in York telling me about problems with credit files after the IVA's are completed.

What a cheek, they are using old version of the insolvency register data to contact people who were in IVAs!

When will this ambulance chaser stuff ever end?

Never - they know they will get a % of people who will reply to these letters and will carry on until the law is changed.

It annoys me and I can only hope that people seek further advice before contacting these ambulance chasers. We are now on the register so I am expecting all sorts to arrive now. Postie only got a few weeks peace and quiet before he starts delivering to us again!!

They also talk about making claims against creditors for PPI, Bank Charges, late payments and over limit charges on credit cards.

Bless em!! They'll try anything to get business.

It worries me that you still hear stories of people using these firms and then losing a big chunk of any payments when most of time you can do it all yourself.

The problem is that these firms are actually making money out of this, or else they would not be in the business. It is a shame to see this happening out of stuff which could easily be done without any paid assistance.

hi everyone! My IVA fininshed in June 2012. I received my notice of completion in March 2013. Now, in May 2013 i've received a letter from Tyler Morgan Claims Limited asking for me to obtain MY OWN credit file (which they correctly tell me will cost £2), then Send it TO THEM - stating they will correctly update my credit file and that they "Don't charge for the service", but do ask for "a donation of 8 first class stamps". They also attach a copy of the Spring 2013 "IVA News", which is actually a Tyler Morgan PPI sales brochure! I thought I'd update this post as it was my first hit in google, but the previous posts only date back to 2011. I guess i won't believe them then, given their previous history? I wonder if they trade/will trade under different names?!

Ignore them and do it yourself. It's free.

I received my letter this morning! a very strongly worded email is being sent to them. I didn't ask for any unsolicited mail and am signed up with MPS.

I received their sales pitch newsletter too!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
