Hello

I'm not connected to this company but bought car tyres online for almost half the cost of tyres from a famous national company who are 'very fast'.

Nearest fitting place was an hour's drive away, but I saved £180!!!

I have used black circles(another website) in the past and never ever just walk into a tyre place now without knowing what I can get the tyres for online,so I can at least try to see if they will price match!!!

I'm usually desperate so have to go to the first place I come across!

We always go to the scrap yard and get part worn. They fit them and balance them and all for £15 a corner. We have so far never had bad tyres from them and they always look brand new.Last set we had fitted lasted 2 years which was great as I do around 15000 miles a year.

I had to change my other half's tyres on the hard shoulder of the motorway last week - she called the motorways agency from one of those orange phones, and they turned up and said they couldnt help her change the tyre because it was on the motorway side, not the side nearerst the embankment, and they werent insured! So they got in their car and drove off! So I had to drive 25 miles to get there, and then endured the scariest 15 minutes of my life kneeling changing a wheel while 10 tonne lorries came screaming past only a couple of feet away! You really dont appreciate how fast motorway traffic is until you are sitting right next to it! Oh, and £40 for a new tyre [:(]

I can't believe that they wouldn't change it! I've got RAC cover, so I'm hoping if I ever need them they're a bit more helpful!

Before my business went pearshaped. I was an agent for black circle tyres, you can always get a good deal with them. The only place that can beat them is costco for Michelin tyres only. By the way Costco fill yr tyres with nitrogen, which they claim helps tyre life.

I cannot believe they did that either. I would have thought the safest option would be to toe the car off the motorway before changing the tyre.

I got to agree though changing the tyre on the drivers side on the hard sholder is extremly risky.

I hadn't considered this before but certainly will now. I had to have a new tyre and tracking done the other week for £84 'ish'. Worth bookmarking that one. x

I always use event tyres they come to your home & are cheaper than most of the big boys. I'm not connected with the company either

I bookmarked that one Langerbridge and then went to get a quote for the one I had replaced and unfortunately they don't cover my area x

I've just looked at that tyreshopper site, looks very good value and I have a choice of two places I could get to, thanks for the leg up on this one x

I always go to the scrapyard for tyres as can get better quality makes for a fraction of the price.
as for car parts-our local scrapyard has two scrappers the same as mine-they will do you a full service-tell you what needs replacing and if you want new or second-hand parts(which they will fit for you)then take it for mot and valet it inside and out.
All for a fraction of the price of taking it to a vauxhall garage!!!

Have to say that I would only ever have new tyres on my car - I do look for the cheapest though.

Same here, I'd only have new tyres. I don't really shop around - I go to either Kiwik Fit or the local tyre place and then get the mid price ones. I'm usually at the point where I really need them!
