I wasn't driving fortunately!

However, I do remember another holiday to Florida where I drove and as I went to pull out of a shopping mall (is there any other place to be?) and I looked the wrong way - almost got wiped up!

Well, I have enough trouble navigating the roads local to me. Heaven forbid that I should be unleashed and able to drive outside of this country! I doubt it would end well[;)]

My daughter is off to France next month with her fiancee and has never driven outside the UK before! Doesn't help that he suffers from a sight problem (is heading towards blindness and has a guide dog!) and so won't be much help on the navigation side!

I couldn't drive abroad, I've only just driven two miles to take granddaughter home and hubby sat in passenger seat and said you're supposed to go around those mini roundabouts not over them! I ignored him!

Lesley - tell hubby that you can drive over the mini roundabouts! You have to treat them as a roundabout in as much as you give way to traffic from your immediate right! We drive over them all the time!

I always drive over mini roundabouts!

I've never driven abroad, but Dave has told me that when we go to Florida I'll be doing some of the driving!

Ah ah! it's easier isn't it so long as it's not dangerous! I will certainly be informing him of this with my greatest of pleasure. x

There's no danger as long as you give way to traffic coming from the immediate right as you would with a normal roundabout!

Having googled this in my insomniac state, it would appear I should go around them and treat them as 'roundabouts'. Some areas are clamping down to on people going over them.....ooh you learn something every night!

Would be quite amusing explaining to the traffic cops why you cant manage to go round a roundabout!!!

DOnt buy cars woth alloy wheels. the wider the tread the greater the friction with the road the more effort it takes (more fuel) to move the car. Allow wheels are heavier also than standard. Plus when it comes to replace a non alloy fitting tyre its much cheaper.

Personally I would rather have second hand tyres of a decent make than new budget ditchfinders.

I would never buy second hand tyres! Even the budget ones have to be up to standard so there is no way I would have part worn tyres.
