Just to add ( I know I'm like a woman possessed with this [:D])....the mileage is only slighter higher than what was accepted at the review in February...wonder why it wasn't questioned then?????? I had forgotten to include the dry cleaning before now, but I'm prepared to take that out and withdraw my surplus contribution as well.

I've arranged to work from home this morning, so I can talk freely when Matthew calls. Nothing worse than trying to stay in control in work.[:)]

Sorry for going on about this - hope others learn something from our experience.

xx

It's good that we share things like this, as you say, it could help someone else in the future.

I hope you manage to sort it out today Julie.

Well here we go ( cue drum roll)........as promised the IP, Matthew phoned. Had a lenghty, informative discussion about the I&E form submitted.

Good news!! Now Matthew understands the background - he apologised for not giving the case his full attention and stress caused - the figures make sense and stand a good chance of being approved at the creditors meeting. I am sticking to my guns and will not /cannot increase the monthly payments beyond £552. Matthew understands this and appreciates a porportion of that amount is from my own income, which need not be included.

Bad news - the creditors need 28 days notice for the variation meeting, so there'll be no quick conclusion. However, I am satisfied it will be put forward and if the creditors require modifications/reject the new figures, then Matthew understands the IVA will fail and BR will be the route for us.

Back to good news - we DO NOT have to pay any fees upfront for this and I know have his direct line for future calls.

I feel much better for talking to Matthew and am confident he understands how hard we are trying to see this IVA through. I also know that Accuma reads this forum and contents of posts are noted. So I'm glad I've been so honest and open with my frustrations as hopefully Accuma will improve their service to the end user ( us [:)]).

Thank you all for your support and any intervention by the "experts" are really, really appreciated.

I'll let you know of the outcome when I hear.

xx

Julie, that's good news that you have managed to speak to your IP. Not so good that you have to wait.

I do hope that the creditors will see that they are better off allowing you the variation, rather than you going BR.

Fingers crossed!

This is another fine example of how things can change when clients are able to contact their IP directly. I was fairly certain that you would be reporting this sort of outcome - but well done to all concerned for sorting it out sensibly.

I'm so sorry to hear of all the problems you are having. It seems to be one thing after another for you.

I really hope this gets worked out for you. It isn't fair that your IP is causing you so much stress.

I was with accuma and they were very good, if anything i wanted to change, they would always tell me it wasnt a problem and get it sorted with the creditors.

On one occasion this could not happen and Matthew got involved and sorted it.

So once again heads up for Accuma and Mattew

Thanks - I've such a good day and all because I could finally speak to the IP.

He also sent us a lovely positive email today - I'm not fooling myself into the variation will definitely be accepted, but at least I know its been given a fair shot.

It took a long time to get to speak to Matthew, but hopefully its better late than never.

xx

Julie, I've only just caught up with this thread, really pleased for you. Glad you got to speak to him and that it's going to creditors, lets hope they accept. Good luck and I'm sure you posting this on the forum helped others. X
