Hi Folks

I feel so guilty as I havent been on here for 2 or 3 months....Work has been mad and I just needed some time not discussing, and been reminded of IVAs I guess! (although I know there is a lot more to this site than just IVA/BR chat![:)] ) I will have a read up and see what you have all been up to!

Well I had my full and final accepted in March this year, sadly the mortgage I had secured fell through due to the deteriorating mortgage market and that was the end of my full and final.
I then offered to start paying again at £400 a month (instead of £600) and add another year on...Its taken until now (and 4 creditors meetings) to finally get my creditors to agree, after scraping through with 75.8% ! HMRC have been a nightmare and were desperate to make me BR, but luckily Ive just pulled through after a week of facing BR in the face.
After two and a half years of ups and downs I feel I can finally see the end of my IVA in sight.
My creditors have agreed I can finish my IVA early if I reach my original dividend earlier, which I may well do later next year with a compensation payout. (fingers crossed)

I would like to wish everyone a great christmas, and just remember..an IVA can be a bit like a rollercoaster ride at times, but you just have to keep plugging away at it ...and pray you reach the end of the ride!!

Good luck everyone!

JPJ

Bit of a nightmare, but you'll be able to have a stress free Christmas now anyway jpj!

Glad you have managed to get yourself sorted and hope you manage to pay your IVA off early.

Let us know how you get on.

I bet....

Its frightening how quickly the economy ,and peoples lives are changing with it.
Every day when i read how many people have lost their jobs, I do pause for a minute and remember how bad it can be when you literally dont have a tenner left!

Crikey! Well, at least you're up and running now. You'll have to try and make a frugal friends meeting in the future. X
