You do sound as if you have received some strange advice - but glad that Tina has put you on the right road. No harm in taking a second or a third opinion, and then choosing the firm with which you feel most comfortable.

Totally agree. As to naming the other firms, it makes one feel a bit difficult incase they read these forums and can identify you, well in my case as they still have my original documentation and i need it back!

This is one reason for choosing a anonymous forum name, that way companies are less likely to be able to identify you.

Hubby's IP identified me and even read my blog....doesn't bother me at all.

If firms are named, then it can only help other forum members.

I don't mind my company knowing at all, but some posters don't like it.

The only people I don't want to find out are my parents and work, and it's unlikely they will.

My IP knows me! If anyone identifies me they're looking here for a reason is my way of thinking these days x

That'ts true. Unless you are looking for something to do with debt, it's unlikely you will come across it.

Other than the spammers of course, but they really couldn't care less what the site is about as they are just advertising.
